What's Holding Me Back in the Gaming World?

With an abundance of games to choose from, it's clear that the gaming world is vast and exciting. However, certain aspects in the games I am currently playing are making it challenging to fully enjoy my gaming experience.

Current Gaming Landscape: A Multi-Game Lifestyle

I am currently immersed in Skyrim modded, Fallout 76, and Fallout 4 (modded), and honestly, it's posing a significant challenge to manage my time equally among all these games. It's not that I don't have fun with each of them; however, it's just a question of my personal entertainment needs and preferences in the gaming realm.

Gameplay Preferences and Enjoyment

For me, a game is a mean of escapism and entertainment. My preference leans towards simplicity and ease of engagement—games with a minimal amount of strategy. In this sense, the card game Solitaire - Island Adventure hits the mark. I revel in the simplicity and the stress-free gameplay, despite its somewhat fancy visual style that can sometimes be overwhelming.

Challenges in Currently Playing Games

To be candid, I find certain games repetitive, such as Mortal Kombat 11: Towers of Time, where the gameplay can feel monotonous, and the rewards after completion do not feel particularly rewarding. In my current gaming endeavors, games like Devil May Cry are also not without their challenges. I particularly detest the fixed camera in these games, as it requires constant repositioning, which is more frustrating than fun.

The Gaming Community and Its Impact

Another significant factor that affects my gaming experience is the online community. A lot of the games I am playing include online multiplayer elements, such as Heroes of the Storm (HotS) and Overwatch. While these games have their charm, they can also be frustrating when encountering uncooperative or disruptive players. In games like Overwatch, griefers intentionally throw matches, and key members like healers refuse to perform their roles, leading to numerous unsatisfactory experiences. Furthermore, some players use death threats and profanity, which makes it hard to maintain a positive gaming environment.

Conclusion and Advice

Luckily, there are many games and gaming communities out there that do not have these issues. However, for now, I am left with the hope that these challenges will come to an end so that I can fully immerse myself in the gaming experience without these hindrances.

If you are currently facing similar issues in your gaming journey, remember that perseverance and communication are key. Look for like-minded players, join supportive communities, and always try to approach gaming with a positive mindset. After all, as I often remind myself, life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful.
