Likability Measurement: Justin Bieber, Donald Trump, or Jesus Christ?

A year ago, my answer to this question would have been different. Apparently, Donald Trump has surpassed Jesus in terms of popularity. I find this disheartening, as I truly believe that the Church has formed an alliance with the Devil.

Presently, it is Justin Bieber who holds the top spot in likability, and historically, Donald Trump has had the most significant impact. However, it is crucial to understand that true popularity is temporary. Lord Jesus Christ is not defined by popularity; He is eternal. Our focus should be on making ourselves popular with Him by displaying godliness in our words, thoughts, and actions. This includes seeking justifications and living to minister to the needy and the unfortunate.

Justin Bieber: A Temporary Sensation

Justin Bieber is arguably the most popular persona among the trio today. His magnetic personality, catchy tunes, and youth appeal have contributed to his overwhelming success. Social media is a significant driver of his popularity, as his fans eagerly share his latest updates and performances. However, it is important to remember that popularity can be fleeting. What sets Bieber apart is his ability to maintain his fan base and truly connect with his audience.

Donald Trump: The Sensationalist

Donald Trump's journey from reality TV star to President of the United States has been nothing short of sensational. His folk hero status and polarizing presence in politics have made him a household name. Trump's public figures have a unique ability to captivate and inspire, often by defying expectations. This has led to his popularity extending beyond the political realm. Additionally, his ability to generate media coverage and conversations has helped him maintain this high level of recognition.

Jesus Christ: Eternal Popularity

Unlike Justin Bieber or Donald Trump, Jesus Christ is not defined by popularity. His legacy is deeply rooted in the spiritual and ethical principles He imparted. True recognition and popularity in the context of Jesus Christ are not about fleeting trends or media hype, but about discipleship and following His teachings. His message of love, forgiveness, and salvation has endured for centuries, making Him the most recognized name after a few centuries. Despite the constant fluctuations in the social and political landscapes, Jesus remains popular for His timeless message of hope and redemption.

Conclusion: Seeking True Popularity

While Justin Bieber and Donald Trump may hold the current spotlight, the spiritual path of following Jesus inevitably leads to a deeper and more fulfilling sense of popularity. Popularity that lasts a lifetime does not come from temporary trends or fame. It is built through living a life of godliness, kindness, and compassion. Our focus should be on making God proud and serving others in need, not seeking fleeting popularity. This is a path that transcends time and remains relevant in any era.

Remember, our true popularity is not measured by the likes or followers we have, but by the impact we make on the lives of others and our adherence to the principles of godliness. Whether we choose to follow the example of Justin Bieber, Donald Trump, or Jesus Christ, the path we take will ultimately determine our lasting legacy.
