The True Warrior: Serving God Through Faith and Kindness

The term 'warrior' is often misconstrued when it comes to faith and service to God. Many mistakenly believe that becoming a warrior means fighting battles in the physical realm, but this ignores the true power of faith and the reign of peace that Christ preached. The true warrior in God's army serves through acts of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Understanding God’s Will

God is a supreme being, all-powerful and capable of defending himself without any human assistance. He does not require our financial contributions, nor does he need us to harm others in his name. In fact, he implores us to do the opposite - to not commit crimes for a deity who is all powerful. His true desire is for us to live righteous lives, guided by faith and abundant in love.

The Invisible Sign of Faith

It is through faith that God makes himself unseen, as demonstrated by those who have a deep and sincere relationship with him. Faith is not about visible actions or displays, but rather, about living a life that aligns with God's will. True faith leads to a life of humility, selflessness, and adherence to spiritual principles.

Putting on the Armor of God

According to the Bible, the full armor of God includes the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, and the shoes of readiness. This armor is not for fighting off physical threats, but rather for standing firm in the face of spiritual battles. The purpose is to defend our beliefs and stay steadfast in our faith.

A Message of Peace, Not War

Jesus never advocated for using violence to spread the message of God. The famous saying, 'Whoever lives by the sword will perish by the sword,' emphasizes the futility of such methods. Instead, we are called to be servants of the Prince of Peace. Barabas and others who preach violence and harm in the name of religion do not align with the true teachings of Christ.

Putting Others First

Jesus taught us to live our lives with others in mind. In his Sermon on the Mount, he emphasized the importance of caring for the poor, giving all that we have, and prioritizing the needs of others. By doing so, we are not only serving God but also becoming the true warriors of his kingdom. Mother Teresa is a prime example of this, dedicating her life to serving those in need without seeking recognition or power.

The True Call to Action

Good morning, and what a beautiful perspective to start the day. You already are a warrior for God. Let him use you in whatever way he sees fit. My calling is to always put others before myself, which is a fundamental principle of the gospel. As spiritual warriors, our role is to serve, to love, and to uphold the values that Jesus taught us.

The Power of Kindness and Compassion

Do not misconstrue the term 'warrior.' True warriors in the kingdom of God fight battles of love and kindness, never resorting to violence or crime under the guise of serving a powerful deity. Instead, embody the teachings of Jesus, who commanded us to give everything we have to the poor and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
