A successful contraction will slightly move the testes in men and labia in women upward. Ensure the contraction is only limited to the urethral area.
Hold this contraction for as long as feels comfortable, starting with a few seconds. Release the contraction while exhaling and relax. Repeat this process several times in each session.
Second Procedure
Beginner's Guideline: Using a catheter to practice Vajroli Mudra can be a more advanced approach. For beginners, an average-length catheter (14-18 inches) is suitable. Insert the catheter through the urethral opening either in the penis for men or inside the vagina for women. Insert the catheter gradually, not more than a quarter of an inch each day over two weeks. Continue to insert the catheter slowly, about a quarter of an inch each day, for about six months before fully inserting it.
Ensure the insertion is done very carefully to avoid discomfort or injury. The practice requires a consistent, gradual approach to achieve the desired muscle control and sensation.
