The general Tamil community respects and honors Brahmins for their modest lifestyle and dedication to education. My journey as a Brahmin in the Indian Railway system through the RRB NTPC 2019 examination is a testament to both the struggles and the resilience of the community. Selected among over 1.29 crore applicants for 35,000 vacancies, I served as a Junior Commercial Cashier Trainee in RRB Chandigarh. At my workplace, I encountered numerous challenges primarily due to caste and identity-based discrimination.

One of my supervisors was from a Scheduled Caste (SC) background and another was working in a compensation ground after the demise of their family members. Both were highly illiterate and lacked basic computer knowledge yet earned substantial salaries and had no work pressure. They displayed jealousy and tried to isolate me because of my caste and identity, often whispering behind my back and undermining my hard work. However, I remained undeterred by their behavior. My pride in my identity and commitment to ethical principles allowed me to maintain a positive outlook, always supporting casteism from the heart and never giving in to their negative ideologies.
