Analysis of Tamil Nadu State Assembly Elections 2021: The Winning Alliance?

As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2021 draw closer, the political landscape is becoming clearer. The AIADMK alliance, led by DMK leader Thalapathi Stalin, is aiming to return to power and ensure that the people of Tamil Nadu are not subjected to the negative impacts of the DMK rule.

Why TN People Should Support the AIADMK Alliance

The ADMK alliance is expected to ensure that TN citizens do not experience the days of difficulty and discrimination under DMK rule. They have plans to improve the situation and form a stable government. The DMK, along with its allied parties, has been known for discriminatory practices and lawlessness, which is a concern for the people of Tamil Nadu.

Supporting All Religions and Opposing Vote Politics

The AIADMK party supports all religions and stands against any form of vote politics. It is crucial for all religious communities to recognize this. Mr. Ovaisy, a political commentator from Telangana, advocates for this viewpoint. Our nation is secular, but politicians need to follow this principle without discrimination.

Secularism and Voting Rights

The discussion around secularism and voting rights is important. People should be free to vote according to their beliefs while also considering the broader implications of religious discrimination. The AIADMK party's approach is commendable as it upholds the principles of secularism and equality.

The DMK Mega Alliance and Staunch Voters

The DMK has formed a mega alliance, which includes DMK, Congress, MDMK, VCK, Communists, Muslims, and other parties. Each party has a significant number of staunch voters supporting them, totaling 48 staunch voters. The DMK alliance also includes some smaller parties like the PMK, BJP, and TMK, which add an additional 8 staunch voters, bringing the total to 56.

Diminished ADMK Support and Neutral Voters

The ADMK, despite the passing of Jayalalitha, has lost some of its staunch voters. Jayalalitha's death, along with the controversy regarding alliances with the BJP, has caused a decline in support. The alliance with the BJP against Jayalalitha's wishes, along with the bickering within the party, has left the ADMK in a weaker position. Contrary to the slogan, there is no strong leader within the party, and the BJP's supervisory role has led to a lack of prominent faces like Modi in their campaign posters.

Neutral and New Voters

The vote bank of neutral and new voters is significant at around 10 people, who either blame the leading parties or choose to abstain from voting. Cash campaigns may sway votes, but the difference is marginal, likely to result in only a 6-vote swing in favor. Previous elections, such as the one after Sasikala's efforts, showed a minimal margin of 1.1. Therefore, a significant shift due to cash campaigns is unlikely.

Concluding Thoughts

Based on the analysis of voting patterns, the DMK mega alliance is predicted to sweep the polls. Further, the Hindu newspaper, Hindu, and editor N. Ram have predicted this outcome. As Tamil Nadu prepares for its electoral journey, the focus remains on the stability and welfare provided by the AIADMK alliance, which offers a vision for a better future for its citizens.
